Jim-Jammin Halloween
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 9:31PM Oh hey. What was that? Ohh yeah I blog. Forgot? Don’t worry, seems like I did too. What is up San Francisco? Are you ready to rock? I thought so. Let’s get this party started right! With some tunes of course!
Recently, I’ve acquired the albums by a group known as The French Horn Rebellion. Their sort of a cool electronica dance pop band. Super awesome. I credit artist Jamie McKelvie (Phonogram, Suburban Glamour) for alerting me of their existence. This friend is why twitter rules. In reality, I’ve only heard 3-4 songs actually by them. Most of the songs on the albums are remixes, which isn’t to talk it down. Most of the remixes rule. They may not be quite as awesome as the original songs, but hey are great none the less. The group reminds a lot of Passion Pit, but a little less intense intense. Where Passion Pit has those vocals that can grind sometimes, this is very much more “bubble gum bliss”. Definitely worth checking out. Especially if you like to groove. Expect another comic-centric post soon. Cause those happen a lot. My unannounced motive for this website is to force as many people as possible to read comics. Shh. Keep that on the hush-hush.
Ohhh, the Isotope Halloween Party/ Triple Cobra event at the Rickshaw Stop happened this weekend. Check out a couple of pictures courtesy of Chunk Kelly. Check his Flickr Feed for more pics.
