Oh hai

             College Apps. They’ve been soaking up lots of time, almost like a sponge soaks up water. Or like a fat person soaking up all the chicken wings at the Sizzler’s salad bar. Not that I’ve seem such a thing. The applications aren’t physically taking up a lot of time, but they’re taking up a lot of mental time. I keep thinking about ‘em, but don’t ever really work on ‘em. I’m proud to say that both of my UC personal statements are done, but they still have several phases of editing and reediting to go through. Then there’s grade input and what have you. I haven’t even started my private school applications yet. Ugh. That’s a lot of essays to write and a lot of truth to stretch. Alright well maybe not that much truth to stretch. Let’s say “phrase creatively.”

            I’d say that through it all, there are two things that keep me sane: Friends and Comic Books. That sounds about right. Who can really argue with that logic? There are only a few people I can think of, but their opinions don’t matter, seeing how they’re communists and all. Friends are there to keep you grounded, and commiserate with you. Comics are there when you need to aliens go down a tear in the universe, only to wind up in an alternate dimension made up of evil magic. So as you can see, both pieces of the pie are different yet necessary.

            The new season of the “Venture Bros.” has been there for me too. I have to say, it’s a lot better than third season so far. Not to say the last season was bad, it just didn’t do it for me.  This fourth season though, so far so good. Some of the jokes have been awesome, and there are already some awesome quotes. My favorite thus far, “Prison is like being grounded for life. But instead of chores – butt sex.” So yeah. Check it out.
